There are lots of different ways to price family photography but I think the most important thing is to be transparent from the start – and to offer a valuable service that shows your family at their best in a way that suits you. The first thing to do is decide what sort of shoot you’d like. I offer two options:

 

A SLICE OF YOUR LIFE – £250

I come to you in your home or out ‘on location’ for a couple of hours to capture a slice of your life as it happens. The cost  covers the shoot and a selection of hi-resolution images (usually about 40) and an online gallery for you to share with family and friends.

If you’d like to have them in an album or framed, I will work with you to find what you’re looking for.   I am really keen to ensure the quality of the pictures is maintained when you reproduce them. I work with a number of professional suppliers for any prints, frames, canvasses or albums you might like. A detailed price list is available as a pdf file.

 

THE DAY IN YOUR LIFE – £750

I come to you from the moment your day normally starts and stay until the kids go to bed. I want to capture your day as it happens – from early morning bed hair to that gorgeous, PJs and ready-for-bed look. Carry on your day as normal and I’ll basically follow you around!

I will send you a selection of images in an online gallery and in hi-resolution on a stick (with a print licence).  However, if you’d like to choose an album or a frame, I will come to you after the shoot and go through a selection of the best prints. From there, you can decide what you would like to do with them… Here are some average prices to give you an idea.

Put them in an album – £350 for a 10 page, hand-made album with a gorgeous silk cover
Put them on your wall – framed or as a canvas – £250 for a contemporary wood frame and art mount
Put them in a frame for the mantelpiece – £100 with mount
Just have them printed out to decide what to do with at a later date – £10 for an 8×6 (bulk discounts apply!)

 

A booking fee of £150 is required to secure the date with the remaining payable within 48 hours of the shoot. All prices include travel within 30 miles of GU32. A mileage may apply beyond that.
